2 Habits of Growth: Throughout this whole process of building the Steambot, I have grown in the habits of perseverance and cooperation. While doing the circuit and figuring out where we needed to connect all of the wires, it was a challenge to keep messing up or have something not work when it did the day before. The first time I tried soldering, my piece came out really bad; the wires were not touching and there was way too much solder on the wires. I had to try two more times and learned that I just needed to be very patient and focused. I improved in cooperation because it was very difficult to cooperate with my group members. Most of the time, it felt like we were all doing our thing, but after working together alone for weeks, we finally go it that we all had to play our part. I would constantly check in with my group members to see what they were doing and make sure they were on the right track. In the end, it worked out because we had all of the components to make our Steambot work the day of exhibition.
Acting: In class, we learned the rules of acting. Throughout learning about these acting laws, I believe that I grew in perspective. On a daily basis, we would do exercises that would help us get comfortable being someone who we aren't usually. Through doing the activity where we had to say a phrase in a different way of the people before us, I had to understand the story behind the way I was saying something. With doing this and other things similar to this, I became aware of the perspectives of others and learned why people think differently than others.
Industrial Revolution: By doing this project, I learned that there were many negative and positive impacts in the society. Some of the positive impacts were technology, transportation and mass production. Some of the negatives are pollution, labor rights and overpopulation. I learned different perspectives of all of the issues that went on during this time and also how the positives could also be negatives.
